Bushcraft axe skills and charcoal making weekend
Improve your bushcraft axe skills with this practical course which will give you the confidence and knowledge to use an axe safely while also showing you just what a useful tool an axe can be for a variety of bushcraft tasks.
You will learn about how to choose the correct axe for different tasks, how to use it safely and get practical hands on experience with using your axe to make woodland tools and cords and learn how to make charcoal.
You will learn how to use your axe safely and effectively to fell, sned and process a complete tree, leaving nothing to waste. Once done you will then split your logs ready to start the charcoal cooking process. Any charcoal you make is yours to take away with you.
This hands on course is held in some fantastic Dorset and Hampshire woodland. It is an ideal course if you are a bushcraft beginner and looking to learn new skills, but also for the more experienced bushcrafter, it provides a great opportunity to get some practical training to be able to get the most out of your tools.
