Bushcraft Stag Do

Fire, deer, axes and arrows, what more could you want on your bushcraft stag do experience?

Come and join the Wildway Bushcraft Team on this epic bushcraft stag do and give your mates an adventure to remember.

Our private woodland is set in the heart of Hampshire. It is 1 hr 30 mins hours outside of London, this will be your base for your stag do. Upon arrival you’ll all create your shelter for your stay, either natural, tarp or tent its up to you. Then is time to unleash your inner Robin Hood, so grab your bow and lets go “hunting”. You will start by shooting arrows at our life size 3D deer target. Then step it up to see who is the best shot.

Bushcraft Food!

Next on the bushcraft stag do schedule is food! This is where you get fully invovled with your food prep. You will be guided through the process of skinning and butchering a whole deer. This is how you will prep your venison steaks for lunch and venison stew for supper.

With the deer hide that is left you will be talked though how this would be tanned. Then the Stag will receive a pre prepared tanned hide as a memento of their day.

Axes and Arrows!

Once you’ve all enjoyed your venison lunch, its time for axe throwing. This is a rare opportunity to throw Nordic Viking Axes, and an opportunity to get competitive and find out who is the hidden Viking amongst you all. Then it is time to unleash your inner Robin Hood, so grab your bow and lets go “hunting”. You will start by shooting arrows at our life size 3D deer target. Then step it up to see who is the best shot.

Before breaking out your beers with the venison stew you’ll have a hands on lesson in the the skill of fire lighting, using both friction and primative fire lighting skills, because using a lighter would just be boring!

After your action packed bushcraft stag day its now time to sit around the campfire and chill before spending the night in the woods. In the morning you will be served bacon butties and tea around the campfire before you head back to the modern world.

So what are you waiting for? Give your stag and mates an experience to remember and to top it all off the Stag goes free.

I had an amazing time on the bushcraft stag do. The weather seemed to be dead against us as it was pouring with rain but our instructor, John, had everything in hand. The shelter above the camp kept us out of the weather and the tuition for the archery was top notch. I saw a massive improvement in my aim as the day progressed and I’ve since gone on to buy my own bow! I was amazed at how complex it is to skin a deer, but yet again, John took it step by step and guided us through the process. I’ve got to say as well, the deer tasted extremely good. The whole group ate like kings for the day. I genuinely didn’t want the day to end, I came away extremely happy and I will definitely be heading back soon.
