Welcome to our FAQs

Welcome to our page of frequently asked questions. If you have any questions that are not answered here, please do get in touch. We are always happy to answer your queries.

Do I need to be experienced with camping and the outdoors to go on your courses or expeditions?

Not at all. We offer courses at all levels, whether you are just starting out or looking to expand your knowledge. We can tailor your bushcraft and survival training just the way you want it, in our own fun, interesting and unique way. Many of our courses and expeditions require no experience of bushcraft or camping. They are designed to introduce you to the skills and knowledge we teach, building your experience as you go. Other courses build on the basics and challenge people to further their skills and experience.

Are Bushcraft courses and expeditions safe?

Yes, our staff are qualified and highly experienced and will provide you with support and guidance at all times.

Where are your courses held?

Hampshire. Once you have booked a course we will send out full joining instructions and directions to the course meeting point.

Are there age limits for a bushcraft course?

All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Please see individual course/expedition descriptions for age limits on specific courses. Provided you are in good physical health, there is no reason why you should not attend. If you are in any doubt, please consult your GP before booking.

Do I need to bring any special clothing or equipment for Wildway Bushcraft courses?

No. We would normally provide any specialist equipment or clothing that you may need. Look at our bushcraft kit list for the basic items that you will need. For some courses, you may be asked to bring some camping equipment. Each course has its own kit list which will be sent to you after your booking has been confirmed.

Can we bring our own equipment to a Bushcraft course?

Generally, you will be able to bring your own equipment. However, if we think your equipment is unsafe, or unsuitable, or if standard equipment is required, it will not be permitted. It is down to the discretion of the specific course/expedition leader. If you have any queries about this, please get in contact.

Can I bring my axe?

An axe might be a great tool but can also be very dangerous. Axes must only be used if you have prior permission from the instructor. Please check course descriptions for details. If you have any queries please get in touch.
