Wildway Ferro Rod

The Wildway Ferro Rod is here! Fire lighting is a fundamental skill in bushcraft. We could not find the perfect ferro rod so we made one!

The Wildway Ferro Rod in a hexagon so it has flat sides each with a larger surface area which results in more material being removed when striking, meaning larger showers of sparks. At 6 inches long it is a beast of a ferro rod and inspires confidence when lighting your fires. The Wildway Ferro Rod has been years in the making and will make fast work of your fire lighting needs.

The Wildway Ferro rod is extremely thick and allow for up to 20,000 strikes. We worked with experts and tried and tested numerous Ferro Rod compositions till we had perfected the optimum balance between softness and durability. Our Ferro Rods throw down large showers of molten sparks, but we were also careful not to make the rods too soft to ensure longevity.

We have chosen to use 550 paracord reflective day glow orange so even when you drop it on the forest floor you will be able to find it day or night.

The Striker is made from heat-treated Stainless Steel we removed all the useless gadgets most strikers have and added double sided burrs so its much less faf!
