Swedish Canoe and Bushcraft Gathering

We are really pleased to be able to able to be part of the very first UK led Swedish Canoe and Bushcraft Gathering. This old school style gathering will be held at the Immeln Canoe Centre in Sweden. With more than 200 islands, Immeln and the large lake system in Sweden’s southernmost wilderness is a true paddling paradise.

The Gathering has been organised by Joe Price Wilderness Skills Instructor and our very own John Boe and kindly hosted by Jon Marin, the owner of Immeln Canoe Centre. Both Joe, John and Jon felt it was high time to put together a relaxed gathering in an amazing location that was more about speeding time in nature rather than spending money on gear in a field.

We are going to be hosted by the Immeln Canoe Centre, who will be providing all the boats, buoyancy aids, paddles and barrels should you need them so you can travel light from the UK. The event will run as follows:

12th Sep – Pick up from Copenhagen Air Port and meet the transfers to Immeln Canoe Centre. You will be able to camp at the canoe centre on the shores of the lake.

13th Sep – We will issue boats and any extra gear that you need and followed by a safety brief we will hit the lake unloaded to let you find your sea legs! Then once happy we will load up the boats and hit the lake, paddling to our first campsite. Camping will be wild on the shores or islands of the area to really experience the Swedish nature.

14th Sep – We will set off for a days paddling and to find a new camp site for the evening, by now your will be well in your stride.

15th Sep – We will spend the day paddling back to the canoe centre where we will have a group meal ( Most Likely Pizza!) and hand back all the gear. The last night will be spent at the canoe centre before transfers back to Copenhagen Airport on the 16th.

16th Sep – Transfers back to Airport.

Other than the group meal this is a self catered trip and flights are NOT included in the price – Flights to Copenhagen Airport are approximately £130 return.
