Description
Swedish Canoe Expedition
Join us as we embark on a week-long canoe expedition through the wilds of Sweden.
We start our journey at Stockholm airport, where we will be met by guides from Wildway Bushcraft’s partner organisation – Johannisholm Adventure. These guides will be with us for the duration of our trip. From Stockholm airport, we will transfer to Johannisholm Stugby – a small village in the province of Dalarna. Then, after a traditional Swedish meal in a heated tipi tent, we will retire to cabins for the evening before our adventure truly begins.

Once back at camp we will go through our equipment, double checking that we have everything we need before traveling to the starting point of our canoe expedition.

COOK OVER A CAMPFIRE UNDER THE STARS ON A REMOTE ISLAND
One of the first stops along our route will be Skällnäsholmen; our very own island in Venjanssjön lake. Here, sat around the campfire, we will make our first meal of the trip and sleep under the stars.
CANOE INTO THE WILD
From days three to six, we will canoe through the lakes and rivers of Sweden. These lakes and rivers are home to some remarkable wildlife including resident beavers and ospreys. As our expedition progresses we will learn bushcraft techniques, work on our paddling skills and perfect our camp set-up. Along the way, we will stay on small islands, in this beautiful and peaceful setting you will have the chance to go fishing and really absorb all that Sweden has to offer.
RELAX AND RELIVE YOUR ADVENTURE
On the sixth day, we return to Johannisholm where we will enjoy another traditional Swedish meal and relive our adventure while relaxing in a wood burning hot tub.
MAKE MEMORIES THAT LAST A LIFETIME
On the seventh day, after breakfast, the time will have come to return to the airport and make our way home, taking with us all the memories of an adventure of a lifetime.
