Kuksa Carving Course. – NCFE Accredited Level 3

Come and join us here in our deciduous woodland for our Kuksa Carving Course – NCFE Accredited Level 3. Perfect for expanding your carving skills!

This is a course suitable for all levels of carving experience as we guide you through this amazing process, turning green wood into an incredible creation!

A Kuksa is a traditional Scandinavian wooden cup and is carved using hand tools using green wood, and we will teach you every step needed to create this special drinking vessel.

Starting with the raw materials, a freshly cut green log from here in our woodland, you will be guided through the carving process to create your very own Kuksa from start to finish, using axes, push knives, gouges and other hand tools required to complete your Kuksa.

Each stage of the process will enable you to craft a beautifully personal Kuksa of our own design. From splitting your billet at the start, to carving the bowl as well as decorating the handle, each stage shall be taught by our instructor team. So over the course of this weekend you will create your own Kuksa to take away, taking it from source to the finished work of art, all created here in our woodland, where it first grew.

We will only ever have 10 people maximum on this course so you can be sure you will receive all the 1 to 1 instruction you may need. Our Kuska Carving Course is accredited by the NCFE at Level 3 so you can guarantee the standard of teaching skills that you will be receiving.

Our qualification has been developed to meet the specific needs of our learners and has been accredited by NCFE demonstrating the quality and rigor.

NCFE is an awarding organisation recognised by the qualification regulators for England (Ofqual), Wales (Qualifications Wales) and Northern Ireland (CCEA Regulation).
