Swedish Canoe and Bushcraft Trip

This is a one of a kind trip! We have teamed up with Immeln Canoe Centre, Joe Price and Ida Olsson of In Forest and Lands to bring you what we believe is the very best Swedish Canoeing and Bushcraft experience around. We have all worked to make this the most cost effective and bespoke adventure of its kind. We even have a professional photographer along to capture the trip for you!

With more than 200 islands, Immeln and the large lake system in Sweden’s southernmost wilderness is a true paddling paradise and our location for this trip.

Other than the first night at camp all evening meals will be provided. You will have to bring lunches and breakfast with you.

You will be collected from Copenhagen AirPort and driven over the boarder in to Sweden, where we will make a quick stop at the local supermarket to grab those last minute supplies. From there we will head to our lakeside cabins to be our home for the first night. Here you will be fitted out with all your canoe equipment and will be able to settle in with a lake side beer to unwind after your journey.

Day 2 –  We will head out on to the lake where John will be guiding you through some simple paddle strokes and making sure your comfortable and confident before packing the boats with all our gear and heading out for the canoe and wild camping part of our trip. Once we arrive at our camping area we will set up a base camp and enjoy a group meal together.

Day 3 –  You have the choice of fishing, paddling, swimming, relaxing and just enjoying the beautiful area that is Immeln in the evening. We will have some bushcraft themed classes for you to get involved with should you wish.

Day 4 –  Joe will run a Featherstick and Fire session in the morning leaving the afternoon to take another paddle to a very special area of the lake to take some amazing photos of the surrounding lake. In the evening after our group meal John will be running an carving session for those who wish to try their hand at Spoon Carving.

Day 5 – Hike the local trail or go for a paddle or just relax its really up to you.

Day 6 –  Time to pack up and head back to the cabins. Once back at the cabins we will have our last group meal and get ready for the journey home.

Day 7 –  Transfers to the Airport.

This Swedish canoe and bushcraft trip has been organised by Joe Price –  Wilderness Skills Instructor and our very own John Boe and kindly hosted by Jon Marin, the owner of Immeln Canoe Centre. Both Joe, John and Jon felt it was high time to put together a relaxed trip in an amazing location that was more about spending time in nature and enjoying it rather than a full on expedition.

 

Flights are NOT included in the price – Flights to Copenhagen Airport are approximately £130 return.
